Our Females
We have had several outstanding females through the years that have been such a joy to have in our ‘family’ & enhance our kennel. Our 2 initial & primary bloodlines have been extensively & specifically developed through PUMPKIN & JESSIE & several of our fine males. Four dogs are being or will be bred from Jessie’s line – LIL’ JESS; OLIVIA; PIPPIN & COURTNEY. In 1993 I brought in ANNIE from outside – unrelated lines – keeping REBEKAH & COLBY from Annie’s later litters. Intermixed within this section are descriptions listing out some of the other females I have had in past & also recent years, (some retired & some passed away) each which holds a special place in our hearts. “Golden Lovers” – enjoy reading about & talking about Goldens – so I would not want to leave these special friends, who filled our lives with happiness & many special memories – out of my information. They very much have been what has made my kennel & my fine reputation what it is today – after more than 29 years of raising Golden Retrievers.
I would like to, however, emphasize here for you, descriptions of those whose lines I have favored & currently are breeding, particularly introducing several of my more recent arrivals that I have brought in to strengthen my blood lines & emphasize particular characteristics – most specifically those of the NORDIC GOLDENS. (Several of my males & females currently being bred are bold faced, underlined & of larger print size!!).
In later 2001 & into 2002 I did extensive research into acquiring some new dogs with features & Champion bloodlines to develop specialized qualities in my dogs & enhance my kennel & the characteristics of future puppies available here at Emanuel Homestead Goldens. In March of 2002 I traveled to bring home the first 2 of several dogs, namely – BRITNEY & TESSA . At this same time I saw & reserved 2 special puppies with unique favored characteristics representative of the NORDIC GOLDENS. These additional puppies, I named SHILOH & SHASTA, and acquired in April of 2002. In July 2003, I brought home 2 sisters, TASHA & TARA that have a long history of Champions, as well as, desired features. My incredible & lovable male, COOPER also accompanied us home to CT on this trip. In Aug. 2003, when arranging to bring my other male, TEDDY home, I included another female, already named, BUTTER, to join our family of lovely Golden Retrievers. I am presently selectively breeding several of these acquired Goldens - along with their stunning offspring that I have fallen in love with & kept, featuring the Nordic characteristics, along with some of my own special dogs, to enhance & develop my own lines of NORDIC GOLDENS. The NORDIC’S characteristics have become increasingly sought after by ‘Golden Lovers’ who have an eye for such outstanding & specialized features & especially their docile & gentle temperament.
