Hi Chris:

I just wanted to share an amazing story with you that just emphasizes what incredible dogs you are breeding. We brought "WINNIE" home in May of 2007 (March 3 Shasta and Cooper) since then she has become an important part of our family. Last week myself and kids went on vacation while my husband stayed home with Winnie. The day before we came home Winnie disappereared. After searching through the night he still could not find her. He called the local radio station in the hopes that someone had seen her. Shortly after he received a call from a family that lived a few miles away from us. Winnie had traveled through the woods to their house. They also had a large family with many children and incredibly also had an EMANUEL HOMESTEAD GOLDEN. Somehow Winnie, missing her own family, had found a sibling that we did not even know about. Needless to say we will never go on vacation without her again! Thanks again for such an amazing dog.

'CASEY' - DOB: FEB. 26, 2008 - OUT OF ELLIE & JEDEDIAH

Good Morning Chris,

I hope all is well in Connecticut . This is the first chance I’ve had to send you a longer note to let you know how Casey is doing. Our little “half-nordic” is perfect. She is the sweetest little thing in the entire world. Casey is very tuned in to our family and is working very hard with us to establish a routine here in her new home. She has already made friends with another golden puppy that was born on the same day she was. This is so great that she will have a playmate her own age right in the neighborhood. Casey also met some of Danielle’s friends and her neighbor “Lilly” next door.

Potty training is going very well already as she’s only been home for 2 full days. The tips you have provided have been very helpful and along with consistency, we feel confident that housebreaking will not take a very long time. Casey is eating three meals a day now and her appetite is back to normal after that long car trip to her new home in Ohio . The trip went very well as Casey settled right in and was the perfect traveler. We are still amazed at her very calm temperament and very sweet disposition.

Casey is a true blessing. We thank you again for working with us and for all the help and generosity you have shown our family. This is truly a perfect match for us and for Casey.

Chris,

Hope this e-mail finds you well. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to Emanuel Goldens.

Periodically, I like to send you updates on "Our Girls" - Amber and Ginger. Amber is light in color and has Nordic Features, like her father Teddy. Ginger is darker in color and has the looks of her mother, Britney. Amber and Ginger will be 4 years old January 2008. It seems like only yesterday Elaine and I brought them home from the hospital. Amber and Ginger, as you know, are sisters from the same litter.

Amber and Ginger live on 2 acres of wooded land 30 miles west of Boston. They love the snow, as you can see from the pics. Although they love the summer time, as you can see from the last pic. The last pic was taken last summer. The Girls had just gone for a dip in the creek - they love the water.... Both Girls love to play ball, see pic of Ginger (red ball). Amber has a tennis ball beside her in 3rd Amber pic. They like tennis balls and I have to throw 2 balls each time and the tennis balls MUST be the same color.

Chris, these girls are the best of friends to Elaine and I.... We love these girls. They are simply GREAT. I would encourage anyone to take 2 (or more) Goldens home. Our Girls are just like little kids. They are the BEST of friends. They do everything together. Amber and Ginger have brought so much pleasure into our lives. I cannot begin to share with you how much they are loved and so how well they are taken care of. They have NEVER slept outside, always inside (sometimes on the sofa)... Well, what can I say, after all they are my kids. Lastly, the Girls are simply beautiful, as you can see from the pics.

"WiILSON" - DOB - MAY 3, 2007 - OUT OF TASHA & TEDDY LITTER

Hello Chris,

I hope that all is well up there in Woodstock with you and your family (human and canine).

Things are going great here in Waterford with Wilson (from May 3^rd Tasha-Teddy litter). He is just the best puppy! He loves everyone and everyone loves him back. He is affectionate, playful, respectful and confident. As I had mentioned in my phone call earlier, he and my female terrier (6 years old, 21 lbs) are getting along very well. They have some wild play sessions in the backyard, but if she has had enough and growls, he immediately stops and drops down respectfully. This pleases the terrier, so it is a very peaceful relationship. It is all very heartwarming.

Wilson started puppy kindergarten and of course was the first puppy out onto the floor trying to coax the other pups out with playbows. He is very charming. He is certainly attached to Dana and myself, but examples like this of venturing out a bit on his own, shows an early confidence which I think is a wonderful trait. I know that he will have many impressive achievements in his future.

Of course I have to mention housebreaking, a focus of most puppy owners. So far (he has been with us 1 month), he has not relieved himself in his crates at all. He likes his den clean. He will whine to get out of the crate if he needs to “go”. He didn’t communicate as clearly when out in the kitchen so there have been just a couple of accidents. To help with this, I put sleigh bells on the door knob that I ring before we go out. Well at first he liked the bells too much, since he would ring them for everything-like food (he’d look at his empty bowl then ring)-for me (if I briefly walked down the hall to get something while he remained in the kitchen-he’d ring) etc. It made me wonder if he had stayed at The Ritz Hotel in his early life, since he obviously is familiar with ringing for room service! J He now seems to just ring when he needs to do his business-clever boy!

Wilson has a cocker spaniel (of the same age) friend who visits, and has gone to parks and downtowns, where people constantly run over to him to pet “the adorable puppy”. His sweet demeanor and calmness are always noted.

Although there are so many more stories to tell, I’ll close here hoping that you have gotten at least some idea of how happy Wilson’s new family is with their baby boy.
