Our Puppies

Katie and Cassie at 3 months.

All of our pups are raised, literally, in our home with exposure to the daily comings and goings of a large busy family with many visitors, sights, sounds and smells. The love, attention and handling, particularly by Chris and our daughter, Hannah, under these conditions, make for a "low key," gentle and adaptable pup that can "go with the flow" of any family and life-style with considerable ease.

This way of raising our pups, coupled with the 26 years of experience, sets us above whatever competition there may be. We never have trouble finding acceptable homes for any of our pups! The types of folks that we work with, seeking to open their hearts and homes to a new puppy, for the most part, are quite diligent in taking the time needed to research the pros & cons of various breeds of dogs; their care and training; and most importantly, the breeders, themselves.

Samson's Little Jessie and Pups Our first Golden, "Brandy" was from the well-known "FEATHERQUEST" line. Through the years, we have developed our own line "EMANUEL HOMESTEAD'S GOLDENS," directly from Brandy's line due to his outstanding personal & physical characteristics.

Because we highly value the "responsible" owner - Chris takes considerable time with each client/family in preparing them for this event that will significantly impact their home and family life. Chris wants to ensure, as much as possible, that the family has a long-term commitment to our pup/s, with permanent and pleasant results. A Golden can live on average, between 12-14 years. Chris developed her extensive information packet that is used for these purposes and also gives the client/family the opportunity to know us, too. This packet is available to each of our pup clients giving full details describing each our dogs; References; "Advantages & Disadvantages of Males vs. Females; " Hip & Eye Disorders & General Health; along with, "Suggestions For Care & Training of Your New Puppy". New owners have appreciated this information & found it quite valuable long after the pup has arrived home when added assistance is helpful.

Please review our Visitation Policy before scheduling an appointment.

We are available to help solve training questions as they arrive at later times, as well.
One of our most important goals has been to establish a reputation for quality & reliability. We feel certain that we have accomplished this.
