TASHA - TEDDY - HALF NORDIC LITTER - DOB- 5-3-07 - "PURPLE" FEMALE

Dear Chris:
Thought you'd like an update on how little Miss Tele is doing in her new home.
Our very first impression of her is "amazing". Her temperament is incredibly mild and loving, and her intelligence is absolutely mind-boggling!
For example: She has been in our home only two full days (today is Saturday). This morning, she went to the door, looked up at her leash, looked at the door again, looked up at her leash, then looked at me. I "got it" immediately and took her out for a "potty walk", and she went!
The crate training is going really really well, and I think that is why the quick leash/door association for her. We have had one actual 'accident' so far, and I turned it into something positive. I sopped up the piddle with paper towels, and took it outside to the outdoor kennel and left it there. After I was done mopping up with Lysol, I took her out to where the magic pee papers were, and she sniffed around and went. Not only piddled but did a fairly decent pile of business, too!
She listens very well, doesn't wander off, and has been introduced to the next-door neighbors, and my daughter and grandson. She acted like she'd always known them, greeted them calmly and quietly. Everyone is amazed at her low-key, laid-back style.
My first impression of Emanuel Homestead was "wow, look at how well those dogs are behaving". Ken & I are really just amazed at how well all of them, and our little one, are so relaxed and happy. If all of your dogs could have spoken, they would've been saying, "Hey.....come and join us!"
I sent the paperwork to the AKC the day after we brought her home, and her name is 'officially':
Telecaster Tasha Whitman
We said 'thank you' to Teddy & Tasha on our way out of your place Wed. evening, and now Tele has the middle name as a tribute.
She is eating wonderfully well, and loves running around on our lawn. We took her into the woods this morning to visit Meeki in his resting place.
Her favorite toy so far (she has two sets, one set of 'supervised' toys and one set of 'safe stuff') are a set of Nylabone keys that look like your typical baby keys. She is so funny with them.....she'll pick them up in her mouth and cart them off to chew on. She also likes this stupid-looking Loofah thing that we call 'Boo-Boo' because it's the same one in the Petco commercial.
When I get the pictures into the computer, I will send you some of her first day home.
We'll keep you posted & let you know how she is doing, and please feel free to inquire about her any time you would like.
This little dog is truly a gift to us!
Thanks again.....Sally & Ken & Tele Whitman

"MILEY ANNE"-DOB: 8/23/07 - ISABELLA/COOPER LITTER - 'RED YARN COLLARED FEMALE'

Hi Chris,
We just wanted to thank you for our sweet and adorable puppy! As you know, we were not completely ready to take a puppy home on Saturday, but all five of us fell in love with her. Now that she is here, we realize that we were really missing having a puppy in our lives. Miley is calm, obedient and great with the kids. We have found her to be incredibly easy to train.
Best Wishes, Libby and Peter Ridgley

Date:Thu, 3 Jan 2008 18:08:14 -0500

hello chris, liza (from teddy and tara's 12/1/06 litter) is 13 months old now, 65 lbs and we are head over heels in love with her. she is mellow, affectionate and easy going. we can take her anywhere, she spent new years eve in boston traveling on the 't' and all over the city, everyone is her new best friend. she greets all new people by sitting on their foot, leaning on their leg and putting her head up to be petted, she is hard to resist. the compliments we get on her are neverending in fact we have never been so popular walking by ourselves as we are walking with her. she is great with our 10 year old and they have become best buddies. liza is still working on some training. her mischief is mild and easily corrected. for commands, she will give high fives, down, stay, wait, heel, roll over, crawl, speak, and lets go she does well, we are still working on getting her to come every time we call. she is great on and off leash when we go hiking and her photos won the first prize ribbon at the sterling fair.....i guess this is just my long winded way of saying she is perfect. we see that tara and teddy have had another batch of the worlds best dog, anyone would be lucky to have one, im wondering if we might be lucky enough to have 2. Will this be Tara's last litter? we are considering another dog, we just weren't really considering it just yet.... but you never know with this bunch hope you enjoy the pictures. we enjoy her! thanks so much, donna milliard~508-769-5082

Hi Chris,
I thought we'd send you a brief follow-up on our dog, Lars. He was from Teddy and Shiloh's litter whelped on 2/5/06, so he has just reached 1 year old. He is a wonderful companion and loves to go out for his daily walks, and runs, in the woods/fields behind our house. He was easily housebroken and has never had any accidents. Here are a couple of pictures. The first one is the day we picked him out and there is one on his birthday. We still enjoy visiting your website and seeing the new puppies as well as photos from owners of some of the pups.
I hope all is well with you, your family and all the folks at Emanuel Homestead.

1 Year Follow-up
Hi Chris,
Yes, you can post the email and photos on your site. I,m sending a few more and you can select any of these or none of these if you would like. We try to get Lars outside to exercise, which he really loves, and also get him to the lake in Maine as well as the ocean at Kennebunk Beach. so, you'll see him in some of those photos. I've included photos of him at various ages up to his first birthday. Do you think he resemble his dad, Teddy? Well, Lars is well loved by his entire family, Gail and me, my mother-in-law who lives with us, and our three children  and their spouses and seven grandchildren.
The other day Gail and I were saying "Wouldn't it be nice if Lars had a younger sister?" He would certainly love to have a companion, but I don't think we can do that right now. Anyways, good to hear from you and please stay in touch. we still like to visit your website.

"JUSTICE"

Hi Chris,

OH MY!!  Our lives will never be the same again!!

What a wonderful dog we got from you!!  He was pure joy on the way home and yesterday at our house.  He sits when he wants attention, he loves the cat (who is still thinking about the relationship), he loves his crate (even let us put him to bed with the 3 2 liter soda bottles of hot water last night).  He slept from midnight to 6:25am this morning with no mess in the crate (he probably would have slept a bit longer except that the kids couldn’t stand to be out of our bedroom any longer!!)

I’ve included a couple of pictures for your viewing pleasure…

Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication.  We have never had a puppy this calm-tempered and able to adjust this quickly.

Blessings!

--Peter McKay – for the whole McKay Clan and ‘Justice’ too…

ABSOLUTELY THRILLED we are with Lucy. Cooper is a different
dog with a puppy in the house. He has become much more
paternal (sometimes I think MATERNAL) and watches out for his
little sister. They play very well together. I never thought

problem...this am was great..we got a first class seat on the

August 8, 2006

Chris,

We’ve settled in just fine over the last few days…As we told you, our older son, Geoffrey decorated “Sport’s” crate so that he would remember his name and where his house was….Sport has been busy exploring our back yard – we have about an acre surrounded by woods, so he really loves all the sights and sounds.  He’s already retrieving his tennis ball and bringing it to us, which astounds us.  We hold him like a big baby and I tell people he’s my “mush mush” because he just lays in our arms like a big fuzzy stuffed animal.

He is getting used to our crate but you were right – he wants to be where the people are, and makes it very known when he’s not happy in it!!   He will stay in there for three to four hours at night, and when he cries we put him out and he does his “business” outside straight away;  of course we think he’s a genius!

I will keep you posted on his progress….and will send pictures.  We already have enough photos for Sport’s first full photo album!!!

Best regards – Geoff, Mary Ellen, Geoffrey and Trevor Knotwell JJ

 Hi Chris,

No pictures today – our home computer broke, so I am “grounded” from e:mailing pix at this point, but I did want to say hello.  Looks like you’ve been quite busy up there with the litters since the summer.

The most important news to tell you is….as you predicted….Sports heart murmur is just about gone!!!!  We went in for a follow up visit to our vet just last week and received the news.  Dr. O’Neil said, “Well, your breeder certainly knows her dogs!! It’s just about gone, as she said it would be.”  He is a wonderful vet and we’re lucky to be in his care – Sport has been in several times to have his heart checked, and we have not been charged for any of those visits, only for his vaccinations.  Dr. O’Neil(who’s been a vet for over 35 years) is a golden retriever lover, who has told me on more than one occasion that if we ever don’t want Sport any more, he will take him home with him!!!

Training is coming along, we’ll get there.  What is it with Goldens and their appetite for socks.  I don’t get it.

Anyhow, Sport is now 5 months old and last week he was 40 pounds!!! I guess that sounded like a lot to me, but he is very lean and lanky.  He’s handsome as can be and has brought some new life back into the house that hasn’t been there since our beloved girls Bridey and Maggie were around.

Geoffrey’s school has a “Pet Bulletin Board” where the kids can send a picture in of their pet and write on a card what makes their dog special.  We bring in donations of pet food and supplies for our Animal Shelter with it.  He picked the picture out that you had up on your website of him and Sport looking at each other for the bulletin board, and let me tell you, the teachers went crazy over the picture!!!

Thank you for our gift.  We love him to death.  I will send pictures soon.

Dear Chris,
Just thought I would drop you a email to let you know how one of your pups is doing, Bella who was from the litter of Cooper and Josie , last Oct 16th is growing into quite the "lil lady" and still turning heads everywhere we go with her. I was taking some new pictures of her as she turned 10 months old a few days back and thought I would send them along to you. She loves everyone, knowing no strangers, since she immediately charms the hearts of everyone new she meets.
Words alone can not express the joy Bella has given all of us and will continue to do so for many years to come.

Floyd's Vacation

Hi Chris,
We just got back from a week at the beach in Emerald Isle, NC.  Floyd (Out of Allie & Teddy's - Jan. 5, 2006 Litter) had the best time on his first beach vacation.  We stayed in a house with 15 family members and they all loved him.  Most wanted to take him home with them when it was time to leave.
As you can see by the picks, he loved the beach.  I must have a had a hundred people come up to me wanting to meet him.  He was great with every one of them, from kids to grandparents.
We can’t wait to get him a brother this spring.
 Take care,
Judd & Krista Cooper
                              ************************************
Hi Chris,
Go ahead and post them on your site.  I think he had more fun at the beach
than the 15 people who were there combined.
The only problem now since he has returned is he is very sad and depressed.
I guess he's just like a human when we come back vacation.
 Take care,

Hi Chris,
Here is an updated pic of shiloh and teddy's lt blue male, dempsey.  He is a ball; very smart already sitting, lays down, retrieves, and stays.  He is a little timid of loud noises but all I have to do is promise him love and he comes running anyhow.  He is a velcro dog without doubt and we love it-- if he is not by my side, he's typically licking my daughter into fits of giggles.  Your advice on which puppy to get was invaluable and I can't wait until we're ready for another!  I have passed on all your info to at least three families so far.

Tasha-Teddy - (DOB) 4-28-06 Half-Nordic Litter

July 2006
Hi Chris,
We have been having such a wonderful time with Rudy...he is such a love!!!  He is already sleeping through the night and pretty much housetrained!!  He loves to run around the yard with Sydney and Grace....they SQUEAL with glee as he chases them and his tail wags a mile a minute whenever they come into the room.  His new favorite spot is next to Sydney's bed at book time....and he will stay right there most nights until she is fast asleep.  He is also quite a hit with the rest of the neighborhood! Everyone's first question is "Where did you get this beautiful boy??!?!"  We had a great Fourth of July at Harkness in Waterford...Rudy LOVED the beach, he found a spot in the shade and dug a hole to sleep in.  He sat and watched his girls as they played from his sandy bed:)
We just cant thank you enough for this precious little soul...I cant remember what it was like without him!!!
I'll send New pictures soon...He is up to 16 lbs!!!
Good night!

JULY 15, 2006
Chris, Thanks for sharing your new pictures!! "Renzo" is beautiful and we are so happy to see that Rudy's brother is doing well. Sydney ALWAYS talks about Rudy's brothers and Sister....and wants to know where they are, and what their names are. Do you know if Rich is planning on doing a page for him?? I would love to hear updates about him and others as well. I am anxious to set up a page as well, but I cant locate my camera connection!! We just got back from the Salmon River, where Rudy had a ball in a shallow pool with the girls. Its a great spot for them because its safe with only a very small current. He stayed right next to his girls (My 2 young daughters!) the whole time while they played and he slept the whole way home!! He has made a new friend down the street, a little spaniel pup Kingston. His parents couldn't stop commenting on how calm and friendly, as well as beautiful. They said they were happy their pup had met such a sweet little pup:) I hope you are all staying cool in this heat!! Talk to you soon, and thank you for staying in touch!!

July 2006
Chris,
Sue and I have one of your half Nordics from Tara and Teddy, 'Amber' is now 7 months old and the love of our life, as well as to everyone she meets. Your logo of the 'Ultimate Family Dog' is right on the money !

I have had dogs for over 50 years, and none have come close to being such well mannered, laid back, and loveable as this dog. She lives to please. She is not a barker, not aggressive with other dogs, and is friendly with anyone she meets. This is truly a 'social dog'. At 3 months we took her to a local obedience class where she had to learn to sit quietly with a dozen other dogs for up to 2 hours, and she did so easily, being the star of the class and frequently used by the instructor as an example of a well behaved dog. Now when she meets people and their dogs on walks, they are amazed at how calm Amber is while their dogs are jumping around like kangaroos.
Since we live in a residential neighborhood we have our backyard fenced in for Amber, but she is not a wanderer, and during walks in the woods Amber will stay by our side. She is a natural water dog, loves to swim, and is fast and confident in the water.
I will close by saying that you have achieved your goal of the Ultimate Family Dog, and any of your potential clients are welcome to contact us for our first hand feedback.
Sincerely,
Sue and Bill

TEDDY/ALLIE 2005 LITTER

                                    [CODY IS CAROL'S 3RD GOLDEN!!]

[April 2005]

I will definitely put together a brag page, but I'll have
to start with a little bragging now. Cody has already
met most of my neighbors and their young children, and
was so well behaved that he is the hit of the
neighborhood. I've had a number of people in the house
for the flooding related issues, and they all think he
is absolutely beautiful. I love his temperament - he is
so sweet! He has pretty much completely adjusted to the
crate, and I barely hear a whimper out of him until he
has to go to the bathroom. I'll start training him out
of waking me up to go to the bathroom. He loves to run
around my yard with the big dogs and desperately wants
to be one of them. Sherlock is starting to show interest
in him and will cuddle with us, and sometimes even kiss
Cody. Cody offers him a toy, but Sherlock hasn't
progressed far enough for full play yet, but will join in
if I'm involved. Watson can't stay far enough away, but
he'll adjust in time. Cody's favorite plant is the
azalea, and he understands "NO!" - he sure hears it
enough - but he still goes for the azaleas. Tomorrow I'm
taking him around on my errands with me, so he can make
some new friends. Then we'll visit my former job, where
everyone is a huge animal lover and can't wait to meet
him.
Have a wonderful weekend, and stay dry (hopefully).
Cheers! Carol Scherezinger - Amston, CT

TEDDY/BRITNEY 2004 LITTER

Subject:Amber & Ginger
To:

emanuelhomesteadgoldens@yahoo.com

Just wanted to drop you a line to let you know how our girls are doing.  Amber & Ginger were born to Teddy and Britney on Jan 31, 2004.  We had a birthday party for them this past Jan 31, 2005.
Our girls now weigh 80 pounds each (15 pounds when we picked them up).  They are everything nice we have heard about Goldens.  Great family members.  Loving, warm, kind and caring.  They now sleep in our bedroom, on their own blankets though. Not in the bed.  Although, they do like to lay in our bed with us.  Amber looks just like Teddy.  Ginger looks just like Britney.
Elaine and I LOVE our girls.  They both like to ride in our Jeep.  They know exactly what "go" means.  They jump in the back of the Jeep and then jump out when we arrive.  Amber and Ginger live on 2 acres of wooded land with plenty of wildlife and outdoor activities.  Amber wanted to chase a deer last week.  Ginger just wanted to watch.
We will try to send pictures.
Kindest regards,
Gary and Elaine Young
