Hi
Chris,
I
thought we'd send you a brief follow-up on our
dog, Lars. He was from Teddy and Shiloh's
litter whelped on 2/5/06, so he has just
reached 1 year old. He is a wonderful
companion and loves to go out for his daily
walks, and runs, in the woods/fields behind
our house. He was easily housebroken and has
never had any accidents. Here are a couple of
pictures. The first one is the day we picked
him out and there is one on his birthday. We
still enjoy visiting your website and seeing
the new puppies as well as photos from owners
of some of the pups.
I
hope all is well with you, your family and
all the folks at Emanuel Homestead.
John
Hi
Chris,
Yes,
you can post the email and photos on
your site. I,m sending a few more and
you can select any of these or none of
these if you would like. We try to get
Lars outside to exercise, which he
really loves, and also get him to the
lake in Maine as well as the ocean at
Kennebunk Beach. so, you'll see him in
some of those photos. I've included
photos of him at various ages up to his
first birthday. Do you think he resemble
his dad, Teddy? Well, Lars is well loved
by his entire family, Gail and me, my
mother-in-law who lives with us, and our
three children and their spouses
and seven grandchildren.
The
other day Gail and I were saying
"Wouldn't it be nice if Lars had a
younger sister?" He would certainly
love to have a companion, but I don't
think we can do that right now. Anyways,
good to hear from you and please stay in
touch. we still like to visit your
website.
John

Hi
Chris,
OH
MY!! Our lives will never be the same
again!!
What
a wonderful dog we got from you!! He was
pure joy on the way home and yesterday at our
house. He sits when he wants attention,
he loves the cat (who is still thinking about
the relationship), he loves his crate (even
let us put him to bed with the 3 2 liter soda
bottles of hot water last night). He
slept from midnight to 6:25am this morning
with no mess in the crate (he probably would
have slept a bit longer except that the kids
couldn’t stand to be out of our bedroom any
longer!!)
I’ve
included a couple of pictures for your viewing
pleasure…
Thank
you so much for your hard work and dedication.
We have never had a puppy this calm-tempered
and able to adjust this quickly.
Blessings!

hey chris...hope you are well...renzo is 5months old tomorrow...doing
great!...our bond is pretty amazing...such a sweet mello dude...but
super playful....training is easy, (he 's smart)...we are
heeling/sit/stay on the lead a couple times a day...little retrieving
sessions...he is starting to bring to my hand....he responds to the
slightest tug and voice...he gets birdy a bit now too....barks at the
deer in the yard...starting to see more of teddy in him after a strong
tasha resemblence early on...in town today...he drew lots of
attention...check out pics (his first snowfall was last
weekend)....jessica goldberg contacted me...she has one of your
goldens...named him 'dudley'...lives in telluride...will give her
renzo's dog carrier for her new pup pickup from you in october...thanks
again for renzo...all the best...cheers...rich cieciuch

Hey chris.....just made it to denver..my boys arrive in just a few
hours....they are very excited to meet the new pup....renzo is a very
special dog...his playfulness and mellow attitude are incredible....we have
bonded immediately....his ability to attract attention blew me
away...he is like a little rock star...people came to him nonstop...he accepted
the attention in such an even way...it never cranked his energy
level..truly a very special dog.....decided to take scenic route back to nyc
.....new london to orient point by ferry, renzo was the hit on that
boat ride, drove to northport to do an evening sail with my sister,
husband and two young kids on their new boat....again renzo was the huge hit,
made it to manhattan by 1am...renzo crashed at the apartment without
any problem...this am was great..we got a first class seat on the plane,
renzo wasn't happy about being stuffed in the carrier so he stretched
out at my feet and snoozed most of the way...no one objected...people
couldn't seem to get enough of him
thanks again for the opportunity to have such an amazing pup....i sense
that his breeding and your skill in starting dogs on the right path
have really worked!!!....i gave your name and website address to a number
of people....i will stay in touch and send some photos
soon....cheers....rich
*************************************************************************************
hey chris...thanks for posting those pics on the pup page...sure you
can
post my comments...the rest of the trip went really well...the drive
from denver to our home in ridgway took about 6 hours...we stopped a
number of times for pup pee breaks and got his feet wet in the colorado
river / glenwood canyon area. ..the boys kept heaping the love the
whole trip the boys and michelle are all doing backflips over renzo...michelle
says that he is 'perfection'...andrew my older son loves how intelligent and
playful renzo is...my younger son brett is especially attached
already...he likes to curl up and 'spoon' with him...we are incredibly
lucky to have this pup!!!...check attached pics....renzo's first day on
the river (went in until his belly touched)...even violet, our aussie
/border collie likes him too......cheers....rich
*******************************************************************************
hey chris...hard to believe renzo has been with us for week....he has
been a blast...we did our first hike today...ascending 1000 feet over
the town of telluride...he was a champ...cooling off in a few streams
along the way....of course attracting big attention with every person
we saw on the trail...
he is sleeping well in the crate...house breaking is
progressing...eating well...
any tips on getting pine sap off his belly??...he loves to lay down
under this pine tree and chew a stick
cheers....rich

Geoff & his "Sport"

"Sport's Crate!!
Isn't it great??
Chris,
We’ve
settled in just fine over the last few days…As
we told you, our older son, Geoffrey decorated
“Sport’s” crate so that he would remember
his name and where his house was….Sport has been
busy exploring our back yard – we have about an
acre surrounded by woods, so he really loves all
the sights and sounds. He’s already retrieving
his tennis ball and bringing it to us, which
astounds us. We hold him like a big baby and
I tell people he’s my “mush mush” because he
just lays in our arms like a big fuzzy stuffed
animal.
He
is getting used to our crate but you were right
– he wants to be where the people are, and makes
it very known when he’s not happy in it!!
He will stay in there for three to
four hours at night, and when he cries we put him
out and he does his “business” outside
straight away; of course we think he’s a
genius!
I
will keep you posted on his progress….and will
send pictures. We already have enough photos
for Sport’s first full photo album!!!
Best
regards – Geoff, Mary Ellen, Geoffrey and Trevor
Knotwell JJ
*****************************************************************
Hi
Chris,
No
pictures today – our home computer broke, so
I am “grounded” from e:mailing pix at this
point, but I did want to say hello.
Looks like you’ve been quite busy up there
with the litters since the summer.
The
most important news to tell you is….as you
predicted….Sports heart murmur is just about
gone!!!! We went in for a follow up
visit to our vet just last week and received
the news. Dr. O’Neil said, “Well,
your breeder certainly knows her dogs!! It’s
just about gone, as she said it would be.”
He is a wonderful vet and we’re lucky to be
in his care – Sport has been in several
times to have his heart checked, and we
have not been charged for any of those visits,
only for his vaccinations. Dr.
O’Neil(who’s been a vet for over 35 years)
is a golden retriever lover, who has told me
on more than one occasion that if we ever
don’t want Sport any more, he will take him
home with him!!!
Training
is coming along, we’ll get there. What
is it with Goldens and their appetite for
socks. I don’t get it.
Anyhow,
Sport is now 5 months old and last week he was
40 pounds!!! I guess that sounded like a lot
to me, but he is very lean and lanky.
He’s handsome as can be and has brought some
new life back into the house that hasn’t
been there since our beloved girls Bridey and
Maggie were around.
Geoffrey’s
school has a “Pet Bulletin Board” where
the kids can send a picture in of their pet
and write on a card what makes their dog
special. We bring in donations of pet
food and supplies for our Animal Shelter with
it. He picked the picture out that you
had up on your website of him and Sport
looking at each other for the bulletin board,
and let me tell you, the teachers went crazy
over the picture!!!
Thank
you for our gift. We love him to death.
I will send pictures soon.
Mary Ellen Knotwell

Hello
Chris,
Just
thought I would drop you a email to let you know
how one of your pups is doing, Bella who was from
the litter of Cooper and Josie , last Oct 16th is
growing into quite the "lil lady" and
still turning heads everywhere we go with her. I
was taking some new pictures of her as she turned
10 months old a few days back and thought I would
send them along to you. She loves everyone,
knowing no strangers, since she immediately charms
the hearts of everyone new she meets.
Words
alone can not express the joy Bella has given all
of us and will continue to do so for many years to
come.

Hi
Chris,
We just got back from a week at the beach in Emerald
Isle, NC. Floyd (Out of Allie & Teddy's -
Jan. 5, 2006 Litter) had the best time on his first
beach vacation. We stayed in a house with 15
family members and they all loved him. Most
wanted to take him home with them when it was time
to leave.
As you can see by the picks, he loved the beach.
I must have a had a hundred people come up to me
wanting to meet him. He was great with every
one of them, from kids to grandparents.
We can’t wait to get him a brother this spring.
Take care,
Judd & Krista Cooper
************************************
Hi
Chris,
Go
ahead and post them on your site. I think he
had more fun at the beach
than
the 15 people who were there combined.
The
only problem now since he has returned is he is
very sad and depressed.
I
guess he's just like a human when we come back
vacation.
Take
care,
Judd

Hi
Chris,
Here
is an updated pic of shiloh and teddy's lt blue
male, dempsey. He is a ball; very smart
already sitting, lays down, retrieves, and
stays. He is a little timid of loud noises
but all I have to do is promise him love and he
comes running anyhow. He is a velcro dog
without doubt and we love it-- if he is not by
my side, he's typically licking my daughter into
fits of giggles. Your advice on which
puppy to get was invaluable and I can't wait
until we're ready for another! I have
passed on all your info to at least three
families so far.
Take
care,

ANOTHER
HAPPY FAMILY!!!!!
Tasha-Teddy - (DOB) 4-28-06 Half-Nordic Litter
Hi
Chris,
We
have been having such a wonderful time with
Rudy...he is such a love!!! He is already
sleeping through the night and pretty much
housetrained!! He loves to run around the
yard with Sydney and Grace....they SQUEAL with
glee as he chases them and his tail wags a mile
a minute whenever they come into the room.
His new favorite spot is next to Sydney's bed at
book time....and he will stay right there most
nights until she is fast asleep. He is
also quite a hit with the rest of the
neighborhood! Everyone's first question is
"Where did you get this beautiful
boy??!?!" We had a great Fourth of
July at Harkness in Waterford...Rudy LOVED the
beach, he found a spot in the shade and dug a
hole to sleep in. He sat and watched his
girls as they played from his sandy bed:)
We
just cant thank you enough for this precious
little soul...I cant remember what it was like
without him!!!
I'll
send New pictures soon...He is up to 16 lbs!!!
Good
night!

JULY
15, 2006
Chris,
Thanks for sharing your new pictures!! "Renzo"
is beautiful and we are so happy to see that Rudy's
brother is doing well. Sydney ALWAYS talks about
Rudy's brothers and Sister....and wants to know
where they are, and what their names are. Do you
know if Rich is planning on doing a page for him?? I
would love to hear updates about him and others as
well. I am anxious to set up a page as well, but I
cant locate my camera connection!! We just got back
from the Salmon River, where Rudy had a ball in a
shallow pool with the girls. Its a great spot for
them because its safe with only a very small
current. He stayed right next to his girls (My 2
young daughters!) the whole time while they played
and he slept the whole way home!! He has made a new
friend down the street, a little spaniel pup
Kingston. His parents couldn't stop commenting on
how calm and friendly, as well as beautiful. They
said they were happy their pup had met such a sweet
little pup:) I hope you are all staying cool in this
heat!! Talk to you soon, and thank you for staying
in touch!! Tracey

Chris,
Sue
and I have one of your half Nordics from Tara
and Teddy, 'Amber' is now 7 months old and the
love of our life, as well as to everyone she
meets. Your logo of the 'Ultimate Family Dog' is
right on the money !
I
have had dogs for over 50 years, and none have
come close to being such well mannered, laid
back, and loveable as this dog. She lives to
please. She is not a barker, not aggressive with
other dogs, and is friendly with anyone she
meets. This is truly a 'social dog'. At 3 months
we took her to a local obedience class where she
had to learn to sit quietly with a dozen other
dogs for up to 2 hours, and she did so easily,
being the star of the class and frequently used
by the instructor as an example of a well
behaved dog. Now when she meets people and their
dogs on walks, they are amazed at how calm Amber
is while their dogs are jumping around like
kangaroos.
Since
we live in a residential neighborhood we have
our backyard fenced in for Amber, but she is not
a wanderer, and during walks in the woods Amber
will stay by our side. She is a natural water
dog, loves to swim, and is fast and confident in
the water.
I
will close by saying that you have achieved your
goal of the Ultimate Family Dog, and any of your
potential clients are welcome to contact us for
our first hand feedback.
Sincerely,
Sue
